Ultrasonic Range Finder
Abstract : Ultrasonic Range finder is a valuable sensor when long range, high accuracy and ease of implementation is required. The sensor can be used to measure the distance of any obstacle within a range of 3cm to 400cm (4m) with an accuracy of 1cm. The module has all the electronics and the transducers built on a very dense PCB. The electronics handles everything from 40 KHz generation, transducer driving, input amplification and processing. Finally a high pulse, whose width is equal to the time required for the sound waves to reach the obstacle and come back, is sent on the output pin. The module is driven by just one I/O line. The same act as input and output both. First it is input (from the module side), so the MCU can issue a small high pulse. This will trigger the module and the line will become output and the pulse will be sent on it. To read the pulse the MCU must change the I/O line to input and receive the output.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the discipline that applies designing, physical science, and materials science standards to configuration, dissect, fabricate, and keep up mechanical frameworks. It is one of the most seasoned and broadest of the engineering disciplines.

The mechanical engineering field requires a comprehension of center territories including mechanics, elements, thermodynamics, materials science, auxiliary examination, and power. Notwithstanding these center standards, mechanical specialists utilize devices, for example, PC helped outline (CAD), and item life cycle administration to plan and dissect fabricating plants, modern hardware and apparatus, warming and cooling frameworks, transport frameworks, flying machine, watercraft, apply autonomy, restorative gadgets, weapons, and others. It is the branch of building that includes the outline, generation, and operation of machinery.

  • Contribute to engineering knowledge, the profession, and the community.

PROJECTS DONE

Project: Drone

Drones are more formally known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or unmanned aircraft systems (UASes). Essentially, a drone is a flying robot. The aircrafts may be remotely controlled or can fly autonomously through software-controlled flight plans in their embedded systemsworking in conjunction with onboard sensors and GPS. In the recent past, UAVs were most often associated with the military, where they were used initially for anti-aircraft target practice, intelligence gathering and then, more controversially, as weapons platforms. Drones are now also used in a wide range of civilian roles ranging from search and rescue, surveillance, traffic monitoring, weather monitoring and firefighting to personal drones and business drone-based photography, as well as videography, agriculture and even delivery services

Submitted By : Sudhanshu Ranjan (0532ME121050), Jitendra Kumar (0532ME121024), Dhananjay Kumar Verma (0532ME121018), Sheshmani Suryawanshi (0532ME121048)

The military use of unmanned aerial vehicles (FROSc) has grown because of their ability to operate in dangerous location while keeping their human operates at a safe distance. The larger FROSc also provide a reliable long duration, cost effective, platform for reconnaissance as well as weapons. They have grown to become an indispensable tool for the military. The question we posed for our project was whether small FROSc also had utility in military and commercial/industrial applications.

We postulated that smaller FROSc can serve more operations such as searching a village or a building for enemy position. Smaller FROSc on the order of a couple feet to a meter in size, should be able to handle military tactical operations as well as the emerging commercial and industrial applications and our project is attempting to validate this assumption. To validate this assumption, my team considered many different FROSc designs before we settled on creation a Spycar.

The payload of our Spycar design includes a camera and telemetry that will allow us to watch live video from the spycar on a laptop that is located up to 2 miles away. We have just finished the project in terms of getting a grade for my senior design but we will continue to work on the Spycar to improve performance and controllability. Our project has verified that it is possible to build a small scale spycar that could be used for both military and commercial use.

Our most significant problems to date have been an ambitious development schedule coupled with very limited funds. These constraints have forced compromise in components selected and methods used for prototype development. Our team’s Spycar prototype is a very limited version of what could be created in a production facility using more advanced technology. Currently our spycar has achieved stable untethered flight using as well as autonomous altitude hold. We are continuing to work on our software so that we can achieve better controlled untethered flight.

Although there are many enhancements that we could do the design, we have proven that it is possible to produce a small scale FROSc that performance performs functions of interest of military as well as commercial/industrial application.

Project : Electric Car
Submitted By : Sanjay Kumar (0532ME141029), Vivek Pandey (0532ME141038), Veepan Singh (0532ME141033), Deepak singh dasila (0532ME141013)

As the studies of various papers and research it is noted that the level of pollution is increasing day by day. The pollution occurs is derived mainly from vehicles, industries and other various sectors. Vehicle produces the highest COX and NOX which are major air pollutant. This is the major concern for human being upon which the main focus to be given in order to maintain a healthy and good environment for future. Some alternatives to be used to control the pollution level up to some extent. This can be achieved by using alternative resources of energy for various operations i.e. transportation, production etc.

We come to make an effort in this context by modifying the Maruti 800 car. We have done some major changes on the car and as a result of this we reduced the emission of pollutant from vehicle. From the modification of Maruti 800, instead of engine a motor is fixed. By using motor, there is no air pollution occurs from the vehicles. The cost of maintenance in this project gradually decreases with the time as compare to the diesel/petrol vehicles and the speed is also increase. The uses of electric car have many advantages as it is environment friendly, low cost, low maintenance etc. Fully electric car are being introduced to the passengers car market in addition to the already popular in hybrid vehicles. There are many existing and proposed standards for the design of the vehicles to reduce the risk of occupants and rescue personnel being exposed to hazards such ad corrosive chemicals, toxic fumes, fires and electric shock in the events of accidents. Some manufacturers are continually working with rescue organization to develop appropriate procedures for dealing with the crushes.

In October 2010 a research crash test of electric car with a lithium-ion battery was conducted by Australia NCAP has also assessed a number of vehicles powered by Lithium-ion batteries. This research reviews the safety hazards and outcome associated with those tests and provides draft advice from car test and rescues organization.

PROJECTS DONE

Project : Low Cost Parking
We have done low cost parking project according to requirement of our college. To reduce traffic volume and to provide proper parking. due to rush of vehicles, traffic is happening. Hence management of vehicles is necessary. And also to provide shade to the vehicles because of heavy sunlight in summer season and rain in rainy season. The parking shade use as for protect uv and sun ray effect. The hot sun ray and uv ray affect vehicles strength and efficiency. Cost is major factor in any construction work that’s why we designed low cost parking system which will be usable in present and future. To reduce cost we provided waste materials, low cost materials and reusable materials. And also the low cost materials which we are providing in parking shed their strength is checked so that it can be durable and it can be used in future also. quantity of vehicles is checked by how many number of vehicle park in a day or in a week or in a year in which we can calculate the quantity of vehicle and which type of vehicle is park at that place. Most important thing is that each vehicle which is parked at that place for how many time it is parked. to design the parking we have the idea of number of vehicles park in peak hours.

costing of parking also depend upon the number of vehicles park in peak hour.if the number of vehicles increases then cost of parking is also increases. To find out estimation of low cost parking we should know about real rate of steel in market at different different traders. This project is done by contract base.

Project : Sun Set Point
The inclination of the Earth's rotation axis causes the seasons and the position of sunrise and sunset to change every day. The maximum angular distance between two sunrises or two sunsets is the angle between two solstices. This angle changes with the latitude of the place. It is minimum at the equator (where it is equal to ecliptic obliquity), and after that increases according to the absolute value of the latitude until it causes the midnight Sun in the polar area.

The draw of sunrises and sunsets is undeniable, and it?s hard to deny the excitement of witnessing the amazing spectacle of light and rich colours fill the sky. Perhaps it?s the feeling of witnessing a unique event that draws us in, the constantly evolving nature of the light only reacting with the clouds and weather conditions may be an event that occurs each and every day of our lives, but one that will never quite be the same as any since or any to come.

Sunset on the other hand brings about the close of the day, and in terms of the lifecycle, the diminishing light represents the end, retirement, a phasing out, or even death. This may be a stretch for many to comprehend, particularly when witnessing the glorious colours and light of a sunset,

AIM OF THIS PROJECT TO USE WASTE MATERIAL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SUNSET POINT AND PROVIDE A PLACE FOR STUDENT TO TAKE REST FOR SOME TIME. Relaxing and getting enough rest will help STUDENT do better IN STUDY. IT WILL ALSO FEELING CLOSE TO NATURE and enjoy life more. Taking good care of may require thierself....Not only help TO control tiredness, it also improves mental health, moods, for their rest of day.
